2004 FAXON LANES Industrial Tournament Rules

1. Anyone who is currently employed, or was formerly employed by any manufacturing industry and immediate family members are eligible to bowl.

2. This tournament has two divisions – men and women – and a mixed five-person team event. All mixed teams consist of two men and three women or three men and two women.

3. This tournament consists of:

§ Three Team Events – Men, Women, Mixed.

§ Two Doubles Events – Men, Women

§ Optional All-Events.

A woman may compete in the women’s team event and twice in the mixed team event. A man may also compete twice in the men’s and mixed team events. Not more than three players on one team can place more than once in the prize list for position standings. A bowler’s first team shall count toward all-events. Doubles and singles may be entered one time only and a bowler must enter both events.

4. Non-ABC/WIBC members may bowl in moral support sanctioned tournaments. High score protection shall apply only to those eligible. Members can qualify by purchasing an affiliate membership ($12.00 for men and $20.00 for women).

5. Entrants will use their highest ABC/WIBC sanctioned league average for 21 games or more from the 2002-2003 league season (2002summer league average may be used.) If current average as of 1/1/04 for 21 games or more is 10 or more pins above last seasons average, the higher average must be used. If a bowler does not have a 2001-2002 average, he/she may use highest current average for 21 games or more as of 1/1/04. If a bowler has none of the above, he/she must use the highest book average for 21 games or more form the last season bowled as far back as the 99-2000 season. All others will be assigned averages: Men – 160; women – 140. The bowler is responsible for verification of averages.

6. Rule 319E is waived.

7. City Association or league secretary must sign entries to verify average.

8. Handicap based on 80% of 210.

9. Prize money returned 100% at an approximate ratio of one in six entries. All-events have an approximate ratio of one in ten.

10. Team captains must check in ½ hour before squad time. Substitutions should be made an hour before squad time or as soon as possible.

11. Money must accompany entry. Reservations held 14 days from time made.

12. All bowling schedules are made final by committee. No changes made after schedules go out. Entry forfeited.

13. Late bowler will start bowling with frame currently being bowled.

NOTE: Failure to use the correct average shall disqualify score if submitted lower than current average, thereby resulting in a lower classification or more handicap. Prize winnings shall be based on submitted average if it is higher than correct average. Average corrections can be made up to the completion of the first game of a series.
